Renovating riven floor tiles

Post by enfield250 »

Hello!
My daughter has moved into an old house which has, what looks like riven slate tiles in the kitchen.
These tiles are sound but, around the cooker are caked in grease. How can the grease be removed without damaging the surface.
I thought of using Brillo Pads, ordinary cleaners do not touch it.
Cheers!

Brillo pad would most likely scratch the surface...

Try Fairy power spray, works a treat on baked on grease in the oven..

Alternative would be steam cleaning...
