scratching head over kitchen layout!!!

Post by kingthumper23 »

hi, i am in the process of buying a house and have been looking into getting some kitchen appliances. i was looking at the freestanding gas cookers but realised they you cant situate a gas hob right next to a tall larder unit. how can i get round this looking at this picture of the kitchen? (the tall larder unit is next to the gap on the left hand side of the picture)

can you put it next to it if you have a non-combustable material on the larder unit like ceramic tiling or somthing or do you still have to maintain the safty distance.

if its not possible then any ideas where i can put the oven and hob?

thanks tom

You could move the drawers overs to the left, cut the worktop and insert your freestanding oven. I would go along the lines of moving the drawers and putting a fitted oven with hob above it.

I'm not a kitchen fitter pro but thats my thoughts

I am not a pro but you would probably have to move it extend the gas pipe and the plug sockets as well. What did they have in the gap before?

Its only a single cupboard so I would shift that left too and put in another cupboard with an integrated cooker hood fan.

Your kitchen looks really beautiful. I don't think it does not design properly. It looks somewhat crappy but I am sure that it s not branded but it might be remodel from old kitchen. I am not sure yet. I just want to add here is, only one cupboard could be a bad idea. When I buy an affordable kitchen cabinets, I install a two cupboard and install a side panels of 10x10's sizes. I hope I can post some pictures of my kitchen.
