:notworthy: hello oh computer gods i have been bought one of these tablets http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/p ... 089040.htm it has wifi and all that but sometimes i have to stay in places with no wifi so is it possible to buy a dongle and plug in in to the tablet so i can still get on line to check e-mails and use skype and look for ummmm gentlemen's delights :downtown: or if not is there some way of connecting with a smart one? hopefully someone can help a poor lost man on the road to happy times :cheers: :salute:

Heya,

You have a couple of options.....not sure if the tablet supports a dongle though, will need to look later.

Mifi - this is like a dongle, but broadcast a wifi network for all devices to connect too

Personal AP - your phone may be capable of broadcasting a local network and sharing your internet

1. Check you won't incur additional charges by using this feature
2. Don't exceed your data allowance
3. Don't forget a password ;)
4. Most Android / iphones support this without any problem - look in settings

Do you have a dongle? There are also devices like mifi, that take a dongle......

hiya billy sorry has taken time to get back but been on the other expensive in my life the car lol i have a dongle but is a pay as you go one as i wont be using it all the time is just for when i have to stay in the odd b&b that does not have wifi. The things that i can turn in to a portable wifi network are they network set or sim free kinder thing?
