Battle . com
Is anyone familiar with this site - and something called Diablo?
Someone's obviously hacked into my email account and has been using it - keep getting threatening mails saying I'm going to have my account suspended - wish they would (nothing to do with me) and just leave me alone - I've tried emailing them direct (have never hit on any link in mail) to get them to stop, but no effect...
Any ideas - or should I just ignore?

Ignore, it's a game site, if some-one has used your e-mail addy to sign up (And it's not you, or your children) then you can't be liable.
In the meantime, if you are the sort of person that forwards jokes etc by e-mail, make sure that who-ever you are forwarding them to doesn't just mindlessly forward them on without removing the previous e-mail addys..
sure you've had them in your in box, 17 "FWD" email addys before you get to the joke which is inevitibly either 500 years old or not funny...

Re: Battle . com
Thanks wine~o - thought it was something to do with games - just annoyed that they're sending hassling mails from a no-reply address... almost a certain trap to force you to use the link. But - no kids here to blame.
Yup... know what you mean about the fwdfwdfwdfwd mails - but I thought the old jokes were always the best... ;-)

Re: Battle . com
Battle.net is Blizzards website for games, such as Starcraft, Diablo, World of Warcraft ETC.
It's a common spam e-mail as there are approximately 40million battle.net ID's, so there's a lot of people that have accounts.
All the e-mails try to do is nick your in game accounts so they can either sell the accounts, or use said accounts to gather items and gold and sell them to players.
It's not a fun process to get the account back either! friend of mine had his hijacked around 6 times over a year period.
Hope this helped :)

No, some-one posted a reply in the thread which contained a hidden link. So the post was removed and the offender banned.
