Grout haze remover

Post by scoletti »

Any tips on how to remove grout haze.

Tiles have been grouted using Mapei Ultracolor Plus grout and has left a dusty/chalk film on the floor and wall tiles.

Anyone tried these products?

Clean water, a clean sponge and rag should be all you need, unless the tiles in question are porous, in which case they should have been sealed before laying..

Hi Scolet,

If what Wino has said doesn't work,

Lithofin Cement Residue Remover - Cleans grout off without the slightest bit of hassle.

Cheers,

Matt :thumbleft:

As wino said, grout haze should be no problem to get off unless the tiles needed to be sealed before they were grouted. Hopefully they havent sealed the grout haze in. What colour grout was used and what colour are the tiles?

The tiles don't need to be sealed.

The colour is grey (Mapei 110 Uktracolour plus). Colour of tiles are cream/beige msrble effect.

All tiling is done so I'm going to clean it today using Wino's method, and see how I get on.
