As one systems admin said in a review on youtube "what the BEEP is this BEEP" "Ok what did you do to my computer" "Windows 8.....oh BEEP BEEP", I look at it and think...
"touchscreen display on a media box....great, day to day desktop use :puke: :puke: productivity killer and just doesn't....work"
Personally love windows 7.....best version of windows since Win2K

Windows 8 is the product of a bad acid trip or something....like Vista's more inbred cousin.....

Hmmm, I did say you need to USE it for a couple of days before you realise what they have done. People don't like change, so they just bash what they don't understand - hence the youtube clips. People don't generally like to listen to praise, no views there.

It is great on a touchscreen, no doubt, but it DOES work nicely on a day to day desktop as well.

I've got a multi monitor setup and LOVE the way it all switches back and forward between metro and desktop mode.

I still get told on a daily basis that Windows XP is the best :bs:

Seems to be a knee jerk reaction, change is bad and all that. From a home user, it's got some food functionality and aligns the phone/touch/desktop with the market and apps.

From an administrator point of view, it's got real potential too - Server essentials has some awesome metro control for day to day use/reporting and control and lots more beside. It'll take time for most places to upgrade their infrastructure, but they will get there.

Stick at it tiger :director:
