Help - Ceilng is running out

Hi hope someone can help here?

I setup a level baton and have started tiling my bathroom wall however as I have started to tile towards the opposite corner a gap opens up as the ceiling runs out. Its quite a big gap at the far end 16mm , what is the best way to overcome this?

You cut the tile to follow the ceiling as normal. Whether the ceiling is level or 2 inches out or up and down for the whole length of the wall the cut tile is the same. Distance from last full tile in the course minus the space and 2mm extra. So if 2mm spacers are used you take off 4mm. leaves you a nice 2mm gap right the way around the ceiling to finish off with a neat silicone joint after grouting.

from your description i take it that you have tried to end with a full tile up to ceiling level. you should always try and end with a part tile up to the ceiling, then if the ceiling runs out of level you can cut the part tile accordingly.You could always put a plaster coving/corniche around

Yes thunderbird1 I calculated to have a full tile width at the ceiling.

After talking through this with a few people who have tiled before I can

1) have a plasterer put a skim in the corner to level the ceiling or
2) dryline it to take the run out

Either way seems better than starting again!!
