Depends what you want. Try HERE (Found them via google)
Above are my opinions Below is my signature.
Would you hit a nail with a shoe because you don't have a hammer? of course not, then why work on anything electrical without a means of testing Click Here to buy a "tester" just because it works, does NOT mean it is safe.
If gloom had a voice, it would be me.
Click Here for a video how to add/change pictures

Re: N1996 Motherboard Driver
What operating system are said drivers required for?
Typically wouldn't go with suggestion above - drivers should be from manufacturers site OR the chipset vendors if newer (Like Intel, for example).
The N number you provided is not the model of board. Look around the edge, usually around the memory slots/power connector, it'll be silkscreened onto the board, might also have a REV X number too ;).
The number you provided proberbly looks like this and isn't the correct one to ID the board:
BG

Re: N1996 Motherboard Driver
Billy, Surprisingly a google search shows his motherboard to be an MSI motherboard manufactured for HP Compaq.

Re: N1996 Motherboard Driver
Hmmm, not so sure...
Take that board in my example above - what is it from Google?
N13210
and this one
D33025 (was laying around
Guessing it's some sort of internal ID - They get me to manufacturer, but not the correct product. Top one is Asus P5NE-SLI and second is Intel DG38TL
But, if I'm wrong - I'll happily eat my pants.

Re: N1996 Motherboard Driver
If you`re having trouble identifying you`re motherboard make and model No. there is software that may help.
My personal favourite is SISSandra, but there`s others including AIDA32 & Everest Home Edition.
All are free.

Re: N1996 Motherboard Driver
i'd agree with that, try and get it square on from above as well, root wrote:or take a photo of the whole board in good light and in focus and we can identify it for you.
best chance of graphics cards being out the way.
on jazzy boards, it's usually screen printed in large typeface near the northbridge,
sometimes its along the bottom edge.
infact the bios "splash screen" or text will normally have the model number on,
take a photo of it before it boots up
