Hi,
When tiling above a bath / shower, which is going to be tanked, how much do you leave on the wal adhesive-wise? Would you slap it on and then scrape it back to wall with a notched trowel, or try to keep the wall completely covered by adhesive?
Does this even make sense?!
How much adhesive to put on the wall?

You may want to get on youtube.......type in something like 'applying tile adhesive to wall'.
Watch a view videos because like all medias, you get some effin idiots posting. I.e try to aim for a vid from a company.
I can't answer your question because it depends on the tile size, composition of them, if the wall is 8mm piddled from top to bottom etc etc

Re: How much adhesive to put on the wall?
I normally apply enough pressure that I can hear the notches scratching lightly on the substrate, I go vertical then horizontal so that by going both ways any low spots are brought up the same depth as the rest of the tile bed (if that makes sense)
