Whitworth Screw Head Bolts With Countersunk Heads

Where is the best place to obtain some brass Whitworth screw head bolts with countersunk heads 7/32 x 1 1/4" long.

I think you might have a challenge there...

The usual fixings suppliers will be out for sure...


Try googling for machine screws... there is a few firms about that specialise in unusual sizes and threads....like Namrick....

Whitworth threads are 1/8 3/16 1/4 3/8 7/16 1/2
not 7/32

On the syphon diagram and parts list I have from Twyfords the three securing screws are listed as "Brass Whitworth countersunk screw head 7/32 x 1 1/4"long".On some of the web sites when browsing have also seen Whitworth 7/32 thread mentioned.

7/32 x 20 tpi whitworth have been obsolete for years.

I did say I would advise if I managed to obtain those brass screws but due to other pressing matters my promise got overlooked,so please accept my apologies for not doing so as I did manage to obtain half a dozen,but at an astronomical price.Thanks to all for your help.
