We met on 30th March, got engaged 6 weeks later and married 2 years after we met, so 2 years of getting the oldies used to a wedding and saving up. My dad wanted me to marry a farmer! If we could have done it again, would have buggered off abroad and come back hitched. Weddings the biggest cause of blood letting and rows known to families.
I'm giving my two the money and they can come back hitched when they're older.

Whilst we're on the subject of marriage, just a quick question, and honest answers please.

If you had lived with your partner first, say for 2 years, would you still have married them?

OMG if we'd have lived together there'd have been a nuclear mushroom cloud over both sets of parents' houses. My mum was brought up a strict Methodist and OH's parents would have disapproved!! What the eye doesn't see the heart doesn't grieve about, I think the saying goes.

What's wrong with trying before you buy? We did a lot of trying!

We kept BT going for a year as our phone calls lasted hours when we were at different parts of the country. Ain't love/lust grand? Nothing nicer than being with someone that can still make your toes curl years down the line.
