Re: Bosch 18v Combi Drill £99
check the reviews, lots of problems.
worth a punt? comes with 2 18v batteries so good for bosch naked?
i know the gearbox slips on my 14-2-li on speed 2 under moderate load (after some large masonary drilling abuse), no problems on speed 1 thankfully so still useful as a driver.

Crazy price, worth it for just one of the batts, it comes with a 3 year warranty anyway and you should always take the reviews on Screwfix with a pinch of salt, the board over there is populated by a high percentage of complete idiots

Re: Bosch 18v Combi Drill £99
Now we have moved into this flat i was thinking about buying this just to keep in the cupboard for the odd diy job.ie picture hanging, shelves etc
i'm aware i might not need a 13mm chuck for what i want to use it for,but is it possible to change the 10mm chuck to a 13mm or would this stress the motor out

Re: Bosch 18v Combi Drill £99
i got one
a lad i work with has had one for over a year now with no problems, and my hitachi has trigger failure so managed to get one at the 3rd store i tried, boy they sold fast, the one i got was the last one in the shop at sheffield.
and i sold my l boxx for £20 so its cost £80 for a decent drill with 2 x 2.6ah batts get in

Re: Bosch 18v Combi Drill £99
the 10mm chuck is a bit of a let down, i have a auger bit set with 13mm shanks and a 12mm hss drill i use often for installing washroom systems, changing it wont hurt i dont think

Re: Bosch 18v Combi Drill £99
I'm looking around for a new drill/driver (there's none of these left near me) but the 3/8 chuck would rule this one out anyway.
I may well go for the AEG if I can't source a cheap Metabo from somewhere, (got my last one from E-bay [from FFX] for £55 - great bargain).

One day it will all be firewood.
