Email not showing on laptop?

Post by martyn1967 »

Hello , My problem is when I log into my email account on Tiscali through my laptop it logs me in but only shows normal page but no emails. This has happened just recently & used to work fine, I can get them ok on my desktop & wifeys laptop but not mine anymore.
Anybody know whats wrong
Thanks Martyn.

Which email program do you run?

I suspect you've closed the 'tree' showing the various folders.......

Have you upgraded to Internet Explorer 10??

I've seen a few problems on sites I used a lot recently. Two things to try.....

1. Click the 'compatibility' button on the address bar:

2. If the above doesn't work, you can make the browser pretend to be an older version to test (usually these things are fixed pretty quickly on the site once they know it's an issue).

Goto the webpage and press F12 - the following bar will appear at the bottom of the browser window:

Press the highlighted button and choose IE9 or IE8, the webpage will reload. If it's works, it's IE10 or a 'problem' with the site code - just use that till it gets fixed.

3. I'm sure someone else will say "use another browser, I use X,Y and Z it's it's MILES better than Internet <insert stupid name here>".

did you try the two things I wrote?

Both will work on older browsers and non permanent changes too, just for testing.

To see if you have IE10, click the cog in top right and click 'About Internet Explorer', should be pretty obvious! :)
