I looked at the bigger rubi cutters but preferred the sigma.

I tried a sigma but couldn't get away with it, I went for montolits in the end, a lot of people seem to be going away from rubi now

They are good cutters too. I think they are the same as sigma in as much as they do cutters for mosaic.

The only thing that needed time to adjust to with the sigma was pulling to score. All my other cutters have been push ones.

That was my exact problem with the sigma, couldn't adjust to pulling to score after years of push scoring. I find the Montolits brilliant, one of the best things is that it has a screw to adjust how far down the breaker can travel to avoid smashing tiles to bits (very handy for thinner cuts) this is also very usefull for harder, larger porcelain tiles because you can use a rubber mallet on the handle to break the tile without smashing them

I've also got a Sigma, you can still push to score if you're careful. I've had it for over a year now and am very happy with it.

I was pushing it for ages lol. Then made myself get used to pull scoring.

Sigma is adjustable for different tile thicknesses too. Had one of the commercial tilers in before xmas because there was too much on and I had to lend him the sigma because his Rubi couldn't snap the porcys being used. Not even if he whacked the tile on the handle lol. Took my sigma in the next day, scored and snapped with ease.

So I think for the money, the Sigma is just a better proposition than a Rubi TS plus.

This IS a tool thread and the BBB is a tool. I sent a case of them over to 12 tilers in the UK and the biggest problem was that it didn't fit onto your metric buckets. We are addressing that and will have a resolve early in Jan 2014.
