installing motherboard to computer case

some youtube videos warn that when we screw down the board in place, we shouldn't over-tighten the screw. I wonder, how to know when to stop screwing any further? They say "too tight" might damage the board but I believe that "too loose" might not hold the board in place, which could be a bigger problem. Sounds like no one ever suggest the optimal point of stopping screwing. Is it all a matter of feeling?

There is probably a recommended torque setting so that you don't over tighten and damage the board.

When it's tight it's tight, don't wrench the f*ck out of it but don't put it on just finger tight.

As has been said, you know when it's correct.

It's not like you're building furniture, nobody is going to be sitting on this motherboard, as long as the screws are touching the motherboard with a fair bit of tension, you're fine.
