You got the Wifi model?

If yes, then you need a hotspot to connect too.

If you have a smart phone with the right contract, then you can enable a 'hot spot' function that lets you share your internet with it - I do this all the time when I'm out.

Also, if you are out and about a lot then you can buy a "mifi" device. It's basically a portable router with a simcard inside. You can get 1 month, 3 month, 12 month PAYG or contract ones if you are out and about a lot.

Lots of options. Depends where you go though really....McDonalds, Costa, Starbucks - all have wifi for free. Tesco too.

not sure of where to get info, but this... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MiFi

They are usually tiny little boxes that have a SIM car inside, they share the internet wirelessly - unlike 3g dongles that usually connect straight into a USB port on a computer.

It's well handy when you have a couple of devices that you want to get on the net. For example, a Three rep said they have almost 100% coverage of the major motorways now. So imaging having a couple of tablets in the car and a mifi device - you could connect both tablets and let the kids stay on the net the whole time 'checking in' to every service station and place along the way so burglers know exactly where you are.

There are other ways of doing it......but that's the easiest.

The other way is to get a phone contract - a blinder of one. one that has data and allows sharing. Once you've got it, but a 3g router (like the router in your home but again takes a sim card or dongle - like mifi). Cobble together your own for MUCH cheaper.

Shame I'm not going away soon, so I'd offer to get you one from the airside - usually 30-40% cheaper!
