Ring them up ! Also inform them of our forum and several potential customers !

I have a feeling (just as you do), that this in car camera thing will take off, big time. Infact, I reckon the sellers should take out a sponsorship package with UltimateHandyman and pay for all the promotion they have had and all the sales they will generate.

Update. When I got up this morning to go to work, I noticed a big package on table by front door. It must have been delivered yesterday but I got home late and headed straight for bed. Missus had to give me dinner in bed, but I only nibbled at it. I have decided not to open it. Will wait till Tuesday and if I have not received second package yet (will return it if I receive second package or not, so as to be within the 7 day period), I'll return it in its original package.

Wish I had it fitted today. On two seperate ocassions, bus drivers tried to run me off the road :angryfire: Just pulling off without indicating when my van is abreast with their bus. In one case, I had to toot my horn ''wildly'' and drive on opposite side of road. Bus driver would say he had been indicating. If I had the camera installed, he would be caught lying with his pants down.

Bus drivers are a nightmare. I'll always let them have their way, no need arguing with anyone who does not own the vehicle they drive!
And if you decide to look into it, you'll notice that most local bus stops are placed next to a Ballard. So if bus driver pulls off, you either collide with bus or with Ballard

I do hope no one on here is going to be tempted to source products from this firm?
I am yet to receive my product and the customer service is useless?
A lady (I suspect she is the owner) sent me an email saying: Soooo sorry, will check and get back to you.

After TWO weeks of not hearing from her, and four emails from myself, she sent a similar message. Another month has gone by and she will not respond to my emails?

They gave me a tracking number. When I tried it, I was informed by the delivery company that no such tracking number is in their system and I must contact the supplier of my goods.

I am we'll pizzed orf, honest. This is doing my head in ::b ::b ::b ::b ::b

Have just this minute received a reply from the In-Car-Camera sales company.

we have rechecked it from the hermes-europe , they lost that package,
we will rearrange it ,
please do not worry about it.

sooo sorry foe that.

If you should have any other questions, please feel free to contact us.

Best Regards,
Customer Service Department,

I doubt this is true? My gut feeling tells me that they had ran out of supplies. That being the case, why did they not just refund my money as I requested on numerous occasions?
I was given a tracking number, but the supposed delivery company claims to have no such details in their database system?

Fascinating. I'll believe it when I see it.

Do let us know how it performs (with video if at all possible), as I am thinking of getting one....

Will do!
Trouble is I can't read the instructions? There are such illegibly printed words I can't read them. May be I need to go to specsavers? Have tried using it but I think the battery power is too low. I will have it charged by Monday morning

You may want to check out this guy on Youtube who reviews gadgets. He's looked at loads of dashcams (mainly the cheaper ebay ones) and there are lots of video samples. There's more to think about with these than at first thought. He does a good job of addressing these issues. Most don't make the grade, but they've been improving and the more recent cameras seem worth considering.

Will look into it, Stuart!
I have tried to install the recent (most expensive of the two), but it keeps saying 'card error', so I can't get it to work?
I have had to avert to using the cheapo one, but the whole thing leaves me confused?
I have to take it off every time I park the van, just in case it gets nicked if visible. Then when I get back in the van, I 4get to hang it up till I'm half way down the road. So just have to carry on without it or try to crash while trying to hang it????

Some of the ones reviewed are small enough to tuck away behind your mirror and are not very visible. It does mean routing power which could mean around A pillar and headlining. Bit of a faff but good once done.

I have been considering getting one of these cameras for a while now but did not know which was best.

In the last month I have seen-

1. Car ran straight through a red light in front of me (it had been on red for a while, not just changed to red).
2. Car pulled in to park in front of me then decided to swing out without indicating to go behind another parked car.
3. Bloke stepped right out in front of me when crossing the road, luckily I could see the guy was thick as pig sh!t from some distance and so I was ready to anchor on.
4. Guy on my left nearly wiped me out on a roundabout
5. Whilst driving up the main road a parked car set off without indicating when I was about 20 foot away from him.
Why is it when you get bad drivers like this and you give them a blast on the horn they stare at you like it’s your fault ::b

It really winds me up when you see the speed detection parasites parked on roads where you could easily go over the speed limit by a few miles per hour, yet there are terrible drivers that pose much more of a risk driving round. These speed detection parasites should be driving round in unmarked cars catching these bad drivers IMHO

Yep...completely agree...i had a blonde woman pull out of a side turn right in front of me...slammed on the brakes and missed her (Just).....there was no traffic behind me for at least half a mile..... (and I like natural blondes...)
