Who is Sam Miguel?

Never heard of him. Anyways, as for drink, its Guiness every day. Or Red wine. Failing that, I go for stella when I am skint

So looking though these replies it would appear that no one goes out of their way to drink it either

Not me, don't really like any Lager, or any other fizzy beer or any which needs to be chilled to within a couple of degrees of going hard.
Ditto. Nice ale any day. The only one I don't mind is cobra, it actually has taste, so they don't need the fizz to kill your taste buds first.

My current favourite is pale rider from here http://www.kelhambrewery.co.uk/ourbeers.htm

Not a beer nor a wine drinker, Cider or Dark Rum is my usual poison, though lately gone off cider again (last one I had made me feel a bit out of it...went to bed early and it was like my neck muscles had decided to go on strike, head was crushing the pillow flat)

Lambs Navy Rum is one of the few spirits I can sip straight up, never managed it with whisky, lethal part is...I've never had a hangover when drinking Lambs rum...ever....even when well on the way to being utterly w*nkered on the stuff....

Though.....
haven't had rum for a while and coupled with walking the dog a lot more...I've lost about a stone since moving house (could have lost more if I had avoided icecream etc....nah...got to have some pleasure in my life...)

Caffeine though in the form of diet colas is my major vice......Though since cutting it out before bed, I find I sleep more deeply and don't wake up at random times of night...less weird dreams also....(less still if I didn't have to take certain medications...side effects - nightmares/vivid dreams......thats an understatement...)

The reason you get bad hangovers with all this poncy lager is because its full of chemical preservatives.
The landlord can buy it cheap in bulk and it can sit in the cellar until its needed. I can't stand it - its proper English real-ale for me. I've been out all night drinking Hobgoblin and Doombar and have still managed to produce an awesome cheese toasty from the kitchen! I feel right as rain and know I'll be fine in the morning - and this stuff is pretty strong.
Lager is childrens drink for adults - its sweet and a pretty colour to ensure it sells, and San MigfuckinGuel is the worst. Utter shite.
Good evening.

Its like Guiness if you have a few in Duiblin you will never like the ones in main land Britian. I think San Miguel in the UK it's brewed in Edinburgh, and although it should be the same recipe, it can seem different because of the water.

Took that when I was leaving the hotel in Dublin the other week. Must have a designated driver and the passenger gets to do the testing....

Had my first taste of Pironi last week. Quite nice, but ridiculously expensive. Used to drink bitter years ago, until I got absolutely blootered on Marstons Pedigree (pub served it just right and twas like nectar I swear) Till the next day, I was still hung over at 4 in the afternoon and felt rougher than a rough thing that had been roughed up by a ruffian.

I drank 5 pints of it Saturday at a wedding reception and I couldn't really say, the jager bombs with younger people later in the evening sorta disolved my reasoning abilities to such an extent that, I even tried a few & yes I mean I done this more than once, the "Suicide Shot".

Don't even think about it unless your under 20 and Fn mad, here's the basics for those that haven't seen young idiots in bars recently, http://xfinity.comcast.net/slideshow/ne ... etdrunk/4/ & yes, I still regret it 48h later.

We quite often stop in for a pint of Peroni after dropping the boys off if I'm not driving, I drink it in the beer garden next to the car park.

I've got a great collection of those tall glasses now :thumbright:
I think I'll take two chickens...
