Doctor Who
The BBC are showing a special program tomorrow night. They are going to reveal the new Doctor.
They're doing it like this because they know they can't keep the actors name secret until the new series is aired.
Here's a tip guys, why not just cast a right nonce-case in the role?
No doubt you could keep it secret for thirty or so years then

Re: Doctor Who
I don't think that's the reason for the "special programme"
Put it like this, who watches Dr Who (when its Mr Smith) no one because he is rubbish, so what would be a good way to entice people to watch? change the actor, and make a "special announcement" that's how.
Judging by all the previous actors who played the Doctor, you would say oh, Christopher Eccleston, or a scots sounding bloke, David Tennant, great, who are they then? Most of us didn't know who they were until they played the Doctor, same with this new Doctor, its all hype to get people to watch Doctor who again.

Would you hit a nail with a shoe because you don't have a hammer? of course not, then why work on anything electrical without a means of testing Click Here to buy a "tester" just because it works, does NOT mean it is safe.

Really ? You'd never heard of those two before they landed the Dr. Who role

Re: Doctor Who
Peter Capaldi is a great actor and was excellent in The Thick of It. I hope he brings that experience to the role of the Doctor

Re: Doctor Who
I can just imagine Peter Capaldi (in his new role) shouting out,, "Everyone , get the f**k back to the f****ing Tardis, there's some cu**s dressed as cybermen and bas***d daleks coming round the corner."
