Reaching Fifty, did you do anything unusual?
I will be fifty next year and want to do something different.
I like the idea of doing the 10 km Commando Challenge in October but need a team, so that is a no go.
Many of you are past that half way point already, judging by your anecdotes. What did you do?

Rumour has it you 'passed'.....Dickie wrote:I'm working on being a dirty old man.
@ Blue - I suspect many did the 'unusual' at 40 rather than 50. I found 50 to be a time for retrospection and relaxation, sort of getting over the top of the hill and seeing the easier coast to the bottom. Maybe 50 is the new 40
Don't take it personally......

I didn't do anything at any age after 40, in fact my birthdays have always been a non-event to be honest.
I said to my OH that I fancy buying a classic driveable old Landy and having a renovation project.

Took the easy option then Dickie?Dickie wrote:I'm working on being a dirty old man.
I don't remember doing anything special for mine, probably went somewhere and paid someone to cook me a meal and wash up afterwards.
One day it will all be firewood.

Re: Reaching Fifty, did you do anything unusual?
I think rather than taking the URL from the top of the page you can click on one in the box at the side of the image and paste it directly in the forum post without wrapping it in tags. (From memory, it's been a while since I used photobucket)
I can't add to this topic as I am far too young to be planning my 50th, but I imagine my kids will flown the nest and it will be time for me and the missus to embark on a round the world journey 'Long way round' style.
We can dream.

I think I've got it BA
If you click on the image you want to share on photobucket and it will show a larger version of that image, then in the box at the right hand side click over the IMG code, it will automatically copy, we can paste it in the thread
Fingers crossed

Re: Reaching Fifty, did you do anything unusual?
Chop, best to attach it...Linked pics can disappear mate leaving that white box with the X.
BA is caught in a familiarity trap Priceless you BA 3 empty folders, any of which ready for you to save your pics to > resize to medium by right clicking on a picture when it's in any one of your uhm folders and send your cursor down to resize > Click on medium > Now a new file will be created called the same as the original picture plus (medium) > and attach using the full editor below
Don't let that entire Sunday I gave you go to waste BA Plus if you can't do it I have to show my a*se in Tesco
