Re: Decking Project
if you get driving rain that may splash up from the decking onto the wall be prepared to put planters against the wall in heavy rain

Re: Decking Project
I wouldn't varnish it, either a wood treatment or decking oil..

Jesus Rich, she'll start thinking you're trying to kick her out of the house soon
You posting pics of the extension??
My mate wants me to build his little girl a house type bed thing in her room...I might take a few tips off yours but leave the roof off

is it going to be a raised bed??Wes wrote:Jesus Rich, she'll start thinking you're trying to kick her out of the house soon

if so you could have windows to match the bottom and top
the door could cover the ladder when shut and have the half sized door painted on it with a window above but actually be a full height door to allow easy access to the ladder
you could have the back off the roof as a solid and a lightweight material to give the effect off a roof
you could also have a rail rather than a roof and material you pull along tent like to give the princess her own four poster effect
and dont forget a small shelve as she will want to eat and drink in there
