Re: Microsoft Office
"Libre Office", an excellent suite of programs. Open all MS Office documents including powerpoint, pdf files and the usual MS Documents too. http://www.libreoffice.org/download/
Or try Open Office. http://www.openoffice.org/
Both programs are absolutely free too.

Re: Microsoft Office
Was it a trial?
If it was a paid perpetual (anything but Office 365) then they don't expire. You should be able to reactivate with the key - if you have trouble ring the activation line.
Assuming its legit - not casting dispersions of course.
Options above good too!

Re: Microsoft Office
Hi Sparky J,
BillyGoat is right, excepting "dispersions" for "aspersions", if you have bought Office you should have a permanent licence. After installing and opening the software for the first time you should be prompted to register the software with MS after which you will never be asked again. I, like BG, have no experience with 365- check the licence.
If your software is legit, and assuming you have not made major changes to your PC, Mobo, HDD etc you should be able to call MS Activation line and get them to activate your software- they are fast and very helpful and can activate your kit almost instantly. I am led to understand that if you have had a failure of HDD and needed to rebuild your PC MS are particularly understanding.

Re: Microsoft Office
I didn't say I had no experience with O365, I actually said it wasn't a perpetual licence model - meaning, if you stop paying (or your subscription ends) then you are unable to continue to EDIT documents and some of the other benefits are reduced they you previously enjoyed.
Also, I think you are confusion product activation with Windows activation (SLP/SLIC).
