help please
More advice please,
I am laying floor tiles that are going to finish up against carpet, under double doors, the carpet is laid on underlay on floorboards, the tiles are laid on 15mm ply on floorboards, what are my options for the join between the two with the difference in height.

Chrome 'Z' bar. Laminate to carpet one. These are adjustable for height.

Re: help please
Thanks ROC any links or advice where to buy, just googled adjustable Z bar, not having much luck, height 9mm? unless I am working it out wrong, 15mm for the ply, plus the thickness of the adhesive, plus the thickness of the tile, looking at a big difference in height of at least 20mm between tile and carpet

As well as the z bar that may sit a little funky...You can purchase reducer profiles/ramp door threshold plates...Google any of them terms Blakey. Can be bought in long lengths and in a multitude of finishes...On my phone and struggling to paste a link..

Re: help please
or make a timber threshold bar to match the doors. Have the join between the tiles and threshold bar directly underneath the closed doors with a flat section 1/2 the width of the door and have this tapering down to the thickness of the carpet on the carpet side. This way you don't have a taper underneath the closed doors which doesn't look good at all as on the carpet side it will look as if the doors are too short.
That's what I would do anyway. haha
