My post about the weight of grout still stands.
I recently did a 3m sq tiling job where I used approx 1kg dry weight grout..and had left overs.
I think it should stand as a post and people should be able to add to it as they see fit...

a 300X300 tile 6mm thick would have less grout than a 300X300 tile 10mm thick., too.
It still isn't bas as a beginners guide or DIY guide, though.

I put the guide up for no other reason than to help people out, I am gaining nothing from it.

maybe i got lucky but in my bathroom- which i am re doing- i put up plasterboard where the electric shower was for over the bath and tiled it and never had an issue. PS i put this up and done this bathroom 15 years ago long before i knew any different maybe i just got lucky
