I am guessing that you have used "last known good config" etc

And I guessing your laptop is out of warranty and its now failed on you- so now you have a brick that's time to play with:) The only real thing that matters is your data- if you have it backed up oh well its that horrible/ lovely time to buy a new laptop. If not you may want to try and retrieve data from your hdd.

Remove the battery and crack the box open carefully, laptops have really short cables and don't like much brute force. Take the HDD out and fit it into desktop via power and data cables, switch your PC on and see if you can access your data- if yes copy it and be thankful you were kind to your laptop. If not your hdd is buggared and a replacement is necessary if you can be arsed. I have never rebuilt a laptop with a new drive but I guess its just a matter of fitting a new hdd, installing a new OS and downloading the latest drivers for ur Amilo Li2727. or I maybe wrong...

If you can access your HDD and get your data off it then it is possible that your boot sector is corrupt meaning it is no longer pointing to your OS. That can be resolved easily enough.

Have a look at the above solutions and see what is happening to your laptop. It is always so much easier to rebuild your pc than spend forever trying to work out a software problem.

Best Wishes,
