Just positioning them. I drilled the hole in the door 21mm ( centre of drill ) away from the edge. Someone told me that was the right distance for this. Is this correct? Also getting the other end of the hindge in the right place on the frame work. It was very hard as the doors are long and heavy. Is there a correct distance for these?

You can buy templates for the hinges Chris. Have a look on e-bay they are pretty cheap. Alternatively if you are using reputable hinges have a look on the company website they sometimes have all the dimensions on there. I use Blum and Hafele hinges and have made a couple of templates for fitting them. HTH.
