It works ok, more or less. There fine for turning Brass and Aluminium, can cough a bit on steel, and can do thread cutting if you're careful about it. There are multiple versions of this machine by different companies, but they are all more or less copies of the original Chinese one imported in ten years ago or so. The beauty of this is that the spares are all identicle
Its just broken the drive belt, Ive got another one coming, from http://www.amadeal.co.uk . Its a toothed belt, bit like the timing belt o na sierra pinto engine.
The question here is had anyone had any experience of adjusting the tension on the drive belt? There is no jockey pulley, the belt goes round the motor pulley and then round the intermediate shaft drive spindle, and thats it. The motor is mounted on two studs that go through the headstock body and have nuts the other side, so the only adjustment seems to be to waggle the motor about in the slots:

Seems a bit crude. And would certainly benefit from a fishplate the other side for reinforcement.
