Re: Aldi 14/11/13
you can get adapters that convert from any to the others cost around £6
i have the bosch 10,8v blue and the ryobi 18v multi head
if you get them and they dont fit i have a spare ryobi adapter that may or may not work but will send it foc
and my sense of irony
just got the link for the other set with an adapter from rutlands ---again

That mini circular saw looks interesting,
Anyone know what it would be used for?

Ideal for projects in which a standard circular saw would be awkward to handle.eg cutting out for back boxes, removing grout tile cutting ,jg wrote:That mini circular saw looks interesting,

It looks very similar to the Einhell that was advertised on Ideal world

Re: Aldi 14/11/13
Those mini circular saws are popping up quite often now. Worx Handycut is sometimes cheaper, maybe try Homebase when they have a 10%-15% off weekend?
I wonder if Bosch/Makita/Milwaukee/Dewalt will ever produce a version for their 10.8v tool systems

Re: Aldi 14/11/13
i would suspect all the generic blades would be similar in quality perhaps 1/2 as good as the fein but at a fraction off the price better to hit a hidden nail withfin wrote:could do with some blades for my multi master like. are those rutlands blades decent? wonder what the aldi blades would be like compatability wise..

Re: Aldi 14/11/13
lol so they will last 2 minutes max if my mate gets his hands on it.
paul... these fein blades are practically indestructible. they can cut anything. see this fein e cut blade. it will take ages to burn it out.
2 minutes later.
paul that blades blunt. i was trying to cut a nail with it. one of those really old cut nails.
haha time for a new blade then..

Re: Aldi 14/11/13
I bought one of these yesterday from Aldi in Batley (there were several left if you're interested in getting one from there). Used it for trimming down skirting board today, and will use it for sanding shortly, looks like good value for money as a DIY tool. If you buy one remember to keep the receipt in a safe place as it has a 3 year guarantee.
