Tricky 9" wall

Hello all, I thought id show these pics in here as ive not put anything up for ages & am having a lazy sunday afternoon with time to spare.
There is no string lines involved in this wall as every section is curved, so its what I call (plumb & level work). Its 9" face brick finished with double bullnose blue engineering headers & a red engineering string course, piers had bradstone caps fitted but were replaced with artstone apex caps after having to wait for them to be made & delivered 8 weeks after wall was finished. Try & get these off the shelf in your local merchants & you'll find they're always battered & bruised with corners chipped etc.
Forgot to say the inside wall has brick lights in the centre of diamond patterns but don't have pics at moment as they weren't fitted when I finished.
Anyway I hope you like it as it drove me round the bend building it.
Would also like to thank my beautifull woman Lesley for keeping me in pasties & pies from the local garage during the process, & choice of pattern! X

I studied the first three pics trying to find something good to say, and thought, 1) it was crap: and 2) Martyn needs a better camera.

Thanks for all the comments folks, Its a great factor to know when you've done a job like this, its probably still gonna be there with people still passing comments when your six feet under!
It actually took me 14days on my own from start to finish. oh & taking into account probably a days work covering & uncovering everyday, (keeping all materials dry) as this is the key to tidy brickwork.

Cheers happy handyman, the radius was set by following the kerb set for footpath, the inverted arches were a bit more trickier & set with a piece of 2.4m bathroom cladding String course & headers were freehand with rack of eye & skew of gob.
p.s i'm a yorkshireman too working about 25 years round the Harrogate & surrounding areas

Please tell me they aren't going to refit the original gates!!

Was there any groundwork or did you go off existing footings?

Hello Mod 6, Yes it was built on existing footings, although the left side of wall from pier was 30mm out, I raised bed joint to suit. & the gates were cut up & recycled by customers friend who is learning welding! keep your eyes open. they may end up on a garden gate near you! No luck for the pikeys on this 1.

I never really think of a wall as anything more than just a divide between your land and others, but this really makes the land perimeter look dominant.
