Florida Holiday
Went to Florida in September for a 2 week stay.
4 Nights in I. Drive. The rest in Disney.
The kids loved Disney. Staff were very helpful. However.
My holiday was spoilt by.
Fat lazy people who drove about the parks in wheelchairs. You would be standing for about 40 minutes to an hour on a bus in 90 degree heat, when these Lazy f*ck would get priority to go right to the front and hop of their wheelchairs walk on the bus and then get their husbands or family members to drive the chair onto the bus. Then the bus driver would allow the persons family on which sometimes was like a dozen people.
Another bug was that amercans who were also on holiday were ignorant bastards.
They would ignore you. Jump in front of you whilst you were waiting in a queue. This went on constantly.
Then one day my brother decided to squezze past this american couple who shouted " who do they bloody foreign tourists think they are, coming in to my country and being ignorant like that"
I was just about to shout back that if it wasn't for our ancestors their wouldn't be an America. However the wife prevented me from saying it.
I'm not saying that every american is like that. However the ones that I came across were rude.
As said earlier my kids loved the holiday which was the most important part for me. But the above was very disappointing

It may seem difficult at first! But everything is difficult at first.

I work with a lot of Americans, Weegie, and as far as taking or leaving them, most I would want to leave
Could say beat them at their own game, but then you would have to end up like them - not good!
I was in Washington DC in June and was in one of the museums and it was about 5 miniutes before closing time - one of the attendents was going around shouting "You gotta get out now! Go!" - hard to believe it!!

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman, "Where's the self-help section?"
She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

On our last visit to the USA in 1989, myself and Ms Gadget went into one of those fast food chains ('Wendy' I think). When one of the guys behind the counter heard my accent he said out loud "hey, we got some Brits in" I said to him "watch it pal, or we'll colonise you again". Now, this guy was about 6' 13" tall and weighed about 20 stone, and he started twitching in a sort of scary way. At this point I too started twitching, but in a kind of 'oh sh*t, why did I say that?' sort of way. (I'm 5' 10" and 10 1/2 stone soaking wet, so I'm thinking, should I run, or should I try and kick him in the nuts before he gets the chance to tear my head off. As it was, he stopped twitching, and I swear I heard him counting to ten, so I guess he thought it was not such a good idea to risk his job for me. In saying that, I must admit, in all the times I've been to the USA, the Americans were always polite and courteous!

I found the cops who circled around my hire car as I was standing by it , then wrote me out a ticket, handed it to me and said "have a nice day" were very polite and courteous.
They could have been even more courteous if they just told me you ahould not stop where the kerb is painted yellow (like everyone coming to the US and hiring a car knows automatically)

We 've been to the states about 8 times now and i do think it varies from state to state altough in some way the the americans are polite as they always say have a nice day or they are genuinely interested in where you are from in England but on the other hand they never seem to say please or thank you they just seem to demand.
We went to the Blue Ridge mountains in west virginia about 4 years ago and everywhere we went people could not be more hospitable yet a couple of years ago we went to Maine and the people there are very reserved and don't really make any attempt to converse with you (a bit like England)
My overall experiance of the states is great but obviously just like anywhere it is made up of ar$£*%7es as well as nice people and i think i would rather live there than here.

If you think nobody cares, try missing a couple of payments..

What dates were you in florida then weegie, i was there in september till the 4th of october, I commented to the missus about exactly the same point as you , especially in disney, and seaworld, fat lazy americans, using these electric wheelchairs as they are to lazy to walk around the parks. could not believe how many there actualy were. I have no problems with them being used by people who NEED to , ie disabled or elderly , but fatness is no sort of excuse.
If it isnt broke dont bloody touch it until it bloody well is and if it is broke then make drawing of the connections before you remove the broken one and replace with a new one LoL
