What is this fruit?

I *thought* I bought a Mango, but then cut it open.

What is it

Mouse to help size it

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman, "Where's the self-help section?"
She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

doesn't quite match

It looked like a mango from the outside (hence my mistake), same size as one and the flesh actually tastes very mango-like. but got those very hard little seeds instead of a hard nut-type centre.

A long time ago I used to make a pear and passionfruit mousse that was a lovely combination. The wrinklier they are the better! :thumbright:

For an exotic fruit, Rambutan takes a lot of beating.

They are not in season at present, but when they are I scoff lots of them.

Dragon fruit look amazing but I think that the exotics all tend to be 'samey' as far as the taste.
