Ryobi @ B&Q - Any Good
I've been looking for an excuse to buy a 4.0Ah Lithium+ battery.
B&Q have them for £75, which seems to be equal to the best price i've found elsewhere.
With this, i'd also need a charger, as my NiCad charger won't do lithiums.
They do the supercharger for £35
But, they also do a hammer drill kit for £60 which includes a drill, a charger, and a 1.3Ah lithium (not lithium+) battery. So for £25 more I'd get the extra battery and a drill.
Would this charger be a "Supercharger" or are there non super lithium chargers? Would this one be ok doing the 4.0Ah battery?
So that would be £135 for:
4.0Ah lithium+ battery
1.3Ah lithium battery
Hammer drill
Charger
With my Dad's Oldies discount on wednesday that's £121.50
Seems pretty good to me, could even flog the drill as I already have one.
What do you guys think?

Get the part No. of the charger, check it on-line, as long as its a super charger what your suggesting sounds good.
The other stunning B&Poo Ryobi buy is the £75 impact driver, mutts nuts for little DIY masonary work, 7mm Brown raw plugs ect. and lagging long wood screws(4" size 12's straight in, no pre drilling required) beware though, you need high quality screwdriver bits with the 4A Lithium+ in an impact driver.

Thanks guys.
That impact driver is on offer at £59 at the mo.
Might be worth getting one of those too :)
I have the bosch 10.8 impact driver, but I bet this is the next level up.

That bosch impact driver will probably be better than the ryobi one. Mind ryobi are DIY tools and B&Q don't guarantee them if bought at the trade counter because of this.

Re: Ryobi @ B&Q - Any Good
funny enough i have the old ryobi and the old bosh 10.8 impact the old impact didnt seem to work that well so flogged it to my brother cheap with all the old 10,8v bosch as i bought newer versions now the newer bosh impact is much much better and about 70% as good as the ryobi although i havent used the ryobi with the new 4ah batts that i expect to give 5-15% better performance due to being newer batteries but also will tend to have a higher voltage level after charging

this is the advantage off having bosch 10.8vand 24v as well as dewalt and a silly amount off ryobi stuff i can compare quality and performance and be reasonably unbiasedSteviethejoiner wrote:That bosch impact driver will probably be better than the ryobi one. I really couldn't recommend using a freshly charged 4Ah batt with the Impact Driver, unless you've got Wera bits its just chews the bits up spitting pieces at you as it does & their bloody hot.
