I hope to never sell my house, I just wish to know if the FIT would be altered. Also I have a 2yr old & a baby who will be 14wks old on xmas day, so there are days i'm doing up to 6 washes and drying of small messy ones washing. baby monitors, sterilisers, the constant recharging of batteries for the multitude of toys, granny keeps buying, plus the tv constantly on cbeebies aaargh! sorry was having a melt down we use a really lot of electricity. My partner has informed me that our panels will actually pay for themselves in 3-4yrs, I did not take into account the fact that we don't pay for our electricity.

you will pay for quite a lot off enegry

take the quoted output say 4ah max on a sunny day you will probably get 3ah for say 3 hrs the rest off the day say 1.5ah then zero after sun down
so the year round average will be perhaps 750w

15-20% over the year seems a sensible average to expect

Its not possible to get photo, the now as its in the eves off my house which is crammed full of, well everything, its a lovely house I bought but the storage is terrible, we've also not decorated the down stairs yet as the upstairs had to be completly ripped out, ironicly the gentleman that had the house before us was a DIY sort, unfortunatly their are a multitude of problems, inside & out, like a soak away beside the house with no drainage, causing some damp, huge gaps under doors, the cat can put his whole leg under it
All I can tell you about the invertor is that its got on the manual :- PV Inverter Sunny Boy 3000TL/4000TL/5000TL which of these I have, I am unable to tell you, unless I empty the eves & crawled in, which would be a problem, as I've recently had surgery, & a bit sore. you could probably find out about it if you do a web search, sorry I cant be more help.
My partner says we only pay a connection fee to the electric board, which is £196.00 per year, we receive a cheque for between £1500.00-£2000.00 per year depending on weather 1st year was very dull 7 wet this years been lovely sunshine, our meter has not moved since we got the panels. we were told that the meters start going backwards, but apparently it depends on the type of meter you have, ours is digital.

Your meter SHOULD move (change digits) as, at night time, you're not generating any electricity therefore you will be taking it from the grid instead - and THIS amount is metered and charged for (excluding any rebates etc).

Yes kellys_eye, I went & checked the bills we've been sent, the meter readings have changed, we're also in credit of £799.12 on our bill which he had not mentioned either. I really don't know why I listen to him, he's always giving me duff information, & telling me useless facts
Does anyone know the best way to eradicate black mould, my sons had a cough for most of his short 2yrs of life, I think it could be the spores, taking him for test today, the doc keeps saying its asthma, but he's still coughing after i give him his inhaler, & the other meds doc gave us, he has a lot of the symptoms of black mould poisioning. It's going 2 take the whole of next year to sort the problems outside which are causing the damp. like removing the black plastic the previous gent laid under the driveway, the patio he built out back, which he built up with soil, approx 2ft high, and off course his soak away to know where.

Black mold can be tackled with Dettol Antibacterical Mold and Mildew Remover (green trigger-squeezy bottle from the supermarket). Spray onto walls affected and watch as mold disappears before your very eyes It contains a mild solution of chlorine so make sure you don't breathe it in.

Then you MUST tackle the cause (damp and/or condensation) else it will reappear eventually.

Same as down here in Engerland....Self -employed are expected to look after themselves..

However employed/self-employed no difference...in Scotland any prescription charges are Free in Engerland we pay nearly £9 to subsidise you Buckie-drinking deep-fried-mars-bar-eating-skirt-wearing......errrm Scots...

I'm a Yorkshireman actually - now resident in my wife's home country and have been since 2008. I'VE paid for the Jocks to have free prescriptions so no harm in ME taking advantage of it

Personally I see nothing wrong with paying (something) for prescriptions - stops people taking the mick imho. Then again, dental charges in Scotland are waay higher than those in England so I take advantage of my English address and get treatment when I'm down that way

Wine-o, do I get the faint smell of sour grapes, even if the fit were to be abolished i still only pay peanuts for the electricity, so its still worth it as I have a toddler & a baby who go thru clothing like water, the washing machine is on almost every day, and we're having to keep the tower fan running day and night, this year again. Looking forward to the cutting of the cord, we have a much better mother waiting on us FREEDOM
P.S I dont know anyone who drinks buckie, eats deep-fried mars bars, and skirts are only for special occasions like weddings, or battle and the fit has a legally binding contract so doubtful it could be abolished
