Hi All
I am about to replace my en suite bathroom and started to remove the toilet, sink etc. The previous owners used cork tiles (they are horrible) so i started removing them, When i got to the corner of the bathroom i noticed two white cables coming out the bottom of the skirting boards.
It looks like the cables are running behind the power point on the other side of the wall and then across the room under the opposite skirting board.
I have the same issue on the other corner so i have four white cables in total running along the floor to the opposite side of the room.
I assume the house was bulit like this and the buliders just put carpet over the top until the previous owners glued them down in the corners and put cork tiles over the top.
I dont know what to do with these cables as i dont think I can tile over these so what do you guys suggest to do with them?
Any advice would be helpful.

Doesn't sound too clever, have you any idea whether these are live cables ?
Probably worth getting a quote from a local sparky to sort it unless you are competent to do so yourself..

im not sure if the cables are live but i think they maybe powering the bathroom extractor fan.
i assume cables like that should be underneath the floor boards?

They could be the intruder alarm wires so they will be low voltage wires but I really think they should be under the floor. in my house there Is a texecom bellbox and the wire comes though the side of the window and down into the skirting board and under the floor to the intruder panel.
