need a larghe 80mm circle patterned like a washer

Manufacturer takes the pewee and wants to charge me £60 delivered for a set of these consisting of a metal plate and 2 plastic guides.

I'm going to get a local cad artist to draw the plastic guides into a diagram and then use a 3d printing service to print them out.

I however still need to get the metal plate manufacturered. It has to be metal because it's a security plate that attaches an iPad to a mount. If it's plastic it will allow anyone to just pull the iPad mount off.

Was wondering where I can get an aluminium plate like that from? I was hoping a read made iron washer for ship building/construction or something could be used and just drill a hole into it.

haha a bit expensive. I would rather just pay retail to the american supplier for brackets instead of using that,

An ideal over the counter solution would be preferred. I have sent an email to the 3d printing company to ask if the nylon material will be strong enough to perform the function of the aluminium plate pictured.

There are plenty of sheet metal companies near where I live. I guess it would be a very small expense to just buy two holesaws and have a go at this myself.

I think I'll just do that. It would be cheaper because I'm thinking of more of this equipment.

How about these guys?

You can design what you want, in a choice of materials. Submit the design and receive an estimate(your job should be fairly easy to do) and if you accept then they make 'em and mail them out to you.

Aluminium sheet is easy to obtain from local engineering companies, or metal factors. Look in your yellow pages.

Tread plate is cheap and it would look awsome!
When all you have is a hammer, every problem is a nail.
