A new hand painted kitchen I just finished.

Hi Guys,

I'm new to the forum and based in Ireland. We just finished this kitchen and I wanted to share it with you all. It an in-frame design with shaker doors, hand painted. The doors are made from poplar with an mdf centre panel. The island is painted in a darker colour and the worktops are Silestones Lagoon. I would love to chat with other in this line of business because I have my wife bored half to death here!

Very nice indeed!

Not too keen on on the pointed end to the island but I suppose it does have a certain gothic feel to it and nice that it has been mirrored in the ceiling. Certainly top notch though.

That's one way to keep the wifie in the kitchen,,,,,, but I find a chain works better.

I used to fit hand made bespoke kitchens.

Looks ok. Never been keen on fussiness being mixed with Shaker. Looks a lot better if I don't think Shaker doors.

The joins between some of the base units are exceptionally visible and doors that are hung off of the cabinet appear to be on Blum type hinges rather than butt hinges. We wouldn't have got away with some of those plinth scribes to the floor either.

Nice looking job apart from all of that.

I am a bit of a traditionalist when it comes to bespoke hand made kitchens.......units at an exact measurement rather than a standard plus a 65mm infill. Doors on butt hinges, tight and exact scribes with no gaps or back filling.

Do you offer a free service where you return 3 months after installation to ease and adjust doors and drawers which may need doing?

(I normally find it hard to see a bespoke of the same quality which used to come out from the firm I fitted for, by the way. House I am working on at present has a Smallbone kitchen and it is crap in comparison)

I like the look of that Keith. How did you make the beading around the drawers is it applied or moulded into the face frame? Nice work.
