what to do with a door

Post by Foggy »

right you brainy lot ..
as some have probably seen i am in the middle of a bathroom refit ,not thought at all about the door ,after reading thru this forum i dont fancy fitting a new door from scratch :cb
ideas welcome ,unless any chippie on here fancies coming over to do it :thumbright:

only idea i have at the min is new handles etc and a repaint
can i buy some kind of panelling and just stick onto door ?

You could cut some panals from hardboard, and panal pin them on, nothing stopping you just re painting it?

Otherwise, get a new door (cheap enough) and have a go, it's not as complicated as it might seem. :thumbright:

Take your time Foggy, its pretty easy to fit a door, even with a few basic tools. A sharp plane will come in handy :thumbright:

What is wrong with the door, Foggy? just don't like it?

I would also agree with WD- it is actually pretty easy to fit a new door. I replaced all the doors in my old house and they looked ok! (I didn't paint them myself after, mind  )
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman, "Where's the self-help section?"
She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.
