Soul destroyer
Oh my god, took me 4hours to hack that off!
Never have i done such a painful and soul destroying job! Had to stop when thumb went numb! Its stuck to that wall like poop to a blanket! Just wish is was a little thicker so i can get the chisel behind it!
Is there no other way, somebody somewhere invent something that you spray on and the render disolves and runs off, oh please oh please oh please!
This message comes from my left hand as my right hand us still out there on the kango!

Re: Soul destroyer
I think I would leave it on and look at cladding it with Marley Eternit system http://www.marleyeternit.co.uk/Facades/ ... board.aspx

Re: Soul destroyer
Tried 25mm, 50mm and have a 75mm angled head! 50 mm is the most successful!
Its just stuck right on there so patience will win in the end!

Re: Soul destroyer
In that case, I'd be tempted to grab a school leaver and give him £15 a day Nothing like a little exploitation If you wanted to be really mean you could give him a 1 inch bolster chisel and lumpy Character building

Re: Soul destroyer
Instead of using flat bits, try one with a scutch/comb bit, they grip in a lot better than a flat bit.

Finished it off today, was bit easier today. For some reason the blocks seemed different up higher, different batch maybe. Whats the best way to stabilise the blocks where the face has come off!
Fair play tho how you guys cope with that sh%t as a trade is beyond me! Hat is off to u all! It is def character building but has destroyed my soul!! Haha !

Re: Soul destroyer
If you are rendering it again, any large holes etc dub out with sand/cement, prior to the scratch coat.
Im doing a similar job this week, ( weather permitting ) so will add some photos.
Hoping to knock of tomorrow.
Away on another job, tue and wed.
SBR and scratch coat Thursday.
Float coat Friday.
