Knock of and Render Job
Rained a bit this morning so knocked of damp internal plaster above window head.
Quite a thickness to bond out, applied in 3 coats.
Bonding done Monday afternoon. Normally you would bond and skim in the same day but the bonding wouldn't go of quick enough, couple of options, pva and skim, or as I did spray with water, ( goes of quicker ) All the render of gable wall, 2 of us in a day and cleared away. Pick up 1.5 ton plastering sand, ( loads cheaper than bulk bags )
These are the chisels we use for knocking of ( scutch chisels ) by the time you have unwound the extension cable and got the breakers out you can knock of a couple of metres.
Hopefully, sbr, scratch coat Wednesday, float coat Thursday.

Ha, but it took me longer to resize the pictures than it did to knock the render of.
I resized them to 500 pixels. is that right, or can I make them bigger ?

Re: Knock of and Render Job
Application of sbr, mixed nearly neat, just enough water to run through the sprayer.
Starting the scratch coat and setting beads.
Scratch coat completed, will leave it until Friday for the float coat. Scratch coat mix, 4 sand to 1 cement, febmix plus water proofer.
Top coat will be 5 to 1 with only febmix added, if the top coat was left to long then water proofer would be added to give you more working time.
If its to dry Friday, just dampen with water.

Re: Knock of and Render Job
You can also get them in hammer form ( brick hammer ) and different sized chisels, the combs are only a few pence, and also come in flat blade, to change the blade knock them out with a hammer.lagi wrote:Nice tip about the scutch chisels, didn't know that.
