I've bought a new light fitting but I'm confused as to how I should wire it up. The new fitting comes with a plastic terminal connector whereas the current light is wired through the ceiling rose.
I've attached a diagram and would appreciate any help in transferring the connections to the new fitting. I've labelled the connection points to hopefully simplify any explanations.
I've left out the Earth from the ceiling rose diagram to make it more readable.
How do I wire new light fitting

hi wintermute, welcome to the forum
turn off your lighting circuit and connect the wires as follows: -
A&B together
C/D&E together
F/G&H together
the earths together
(obviously A & H will be from your new light and not the pendant from your existing light)
it doesn't really matter which numbers you use in the blocks as long as you connect the wires as i have described.
