Wax lumps

Post by darrenba »

Anyone have any bright ideas on how to remove these wax lumps from these tiles. So far it's been a scraper but it's a bit slow, 12m2 or approx 1000 tiles to do. Usually they flick off with your finger but not these ones. ::b

Spoke with the supplier and they were less than helpful just saying I'd have to charge the customer for the extra time it takes to clean them - client was not impressed at all.

Probably a bit late to comment now, you've probably done the job - but I just wondered if it would be worth trying to warm the wax lumps up with a hair dryer or a hot air paint remover on low, with a wad of paper towel held to soak up the wax and stop it going into the joints. One of those things that might work or might go horribly wrong - I'd give it a cautious go.
