Sparks gone mad

Post by Tryanything »

FFS I think someone forgot to bring there drill
These used to be nice strong 8"x 2" joists over a 10ft span, now its more like 4"X 2" over a 10ft span, the client wondered
why he had a bit of bounce in the floor ::b ::b

OMG

That is the worst case of joist notching I have ever seen.

Someone had a new saw to try out by the looks of that! Disgraceful work :angryfire: Surely the client noticed the horse outside

Think the pieces of wood over the top are just packing as the floor board was thinner, joists are 100yr old pine :cb

trouble is these days with more and more services being required by the clients sometimes and i say SOMETIMES it s not an option to go any other route. Having said that i doubt seriously that the notching was done by the sparks as why have they drilled so many holes next to a large notch when the could have accomodated everything in the same notch ELV cables excepted. Seems strange to me

If it isnt broke dont bloody touch it until it bloody well is and if it is broke then make drawing of the connections before you remove the broken one and replace with a new one LoL

i agree, to meet the regs its actually hard to drill the right number of holes, the right distance apart within the zone
