Change system sounds (win 8.1)

Post by Someone-Else »

I want to change the notification sound of when I receive an email.

control panel>sound>change system sounds.

Done that, chose new sound, clicked on "play" new sound. Saved it with a new name, click ok, still same sound.

Have I missed something? (It works on XP)

Would you hit a nail with a shoe because you don't have a hammer? of course not, then why work on anything electrical without a means of testing Click Here to buy a "tester" just because it works, does NOT mean it is safe.

 If gloom had a voice, it would be me.

:idea1: Click Here for a video how to add/change pictures

Works for me.....what are you using as your mail client and does it make use of the Windows sound scheme?
