Oak computer desk in a tight corner
I built this computer desk and got it installed today. Glad to say everything fitted just as planned. It was a tight corner due to the radiator and associated pipework. My customer wanted as much of the computer system 'in' the desk so I came up with this design with a slide out section for the printer and speaker control unit.
Never enough hours in the day!

Very clever Alan, (and I'm glad I saw the second pic before putting my foot in my mouth)! Like, where do you put your legs .
I'm guessing you must have worked out that the runners will take the weight OK?

One day it will all be firewood.

Thanks guys. Yes Ayjay, the runners will take a 50kg load so no problem. I did tell the customer not to lean on it though.

Looks very good, I like it.
I also almost put my foot in it by asking why no lid on the printer area but you would need access!

Hi,
Very well done mailee; an elegant solution to a tricky problem in making so much use of such limited space; the idea could also be applied to a kitchen bar where space is tight? Neat job and well thought out.
Kind regards, Col.
