Adhesive as grout

I'm frankly haemorrhaging money on my renovation and it's just one thing after another. Everyday I'm having to pick up materials.

I ended up requiring a second tub of 14kg beige uni bond wall tile adhesive to finish the job (because it was on offer!), but typically I'm left with 90% of that tub. I bought white grout but with hindsight beige would be better.

Some of the adhesive pushed through between the tiles and I failed to remove it before it set. So removing it will be a pain. Can I just use the adhesive as grout. It looks fine! It's in a cloakroom toilet, no shower or issues of damp.

Is there any real reason for this to backfire on me? I'm guessing it's a harder compound, so that might cause problems if it gets mouldy?

Given that it isn't a wet area I'd say go for it...

The only reason I can think of is that it's a harder compound, so regrouting in the future may not be possible... Hmmm...

Forgive me if I'm wrong (I often am) but isn't that Unibond a pre-mixed (Tubbed) adhesive???in which case it will be saft as a really saft suvvener...(Soft as a Southerner) I'm sure that with a little tooling it'll be fiiiiinnneeee

a 2.5kg bag of Mapei grout is about a £6 from screwfix, if it were me I would just grout, depending on size of area

Oh and yeah, I constantly have to throw stuff out as I have no where to store anything. Its a real pain in the ass as a while ago I needed a small bit of ply, 2 foot of 15mm pipe etc so means buysing the sheets and delivery on top

Personally I wouldn't. because it'll look crap (probably) and be a pain to wash down
