£100 Cordless Combi Drills (Hitachi / Makita / DeWalt)

which one of these three would you recommend?
would be used for DIY around the house.

seen them at screwfix

Hitachi DV18DCL2 18V 1.5Ah Li-Ion Cordless Combi Drill

Makita 8391DWPE 18V Combi Drill

DeWalt DC100KA-GB 18V 1.3Ah Ni-Cd Cordless Combi Drill

Deffo the Hitachi just for the Li-Ion battery...

though you might want to have a look at the Ryobi one+ in this thread..

I just got the Ryobi One+ combi with two 1.4 Ah Li-Ions and charger from the same place for £85.

Is that not a 14.4v drill with nicads on FFX (if that's where you work - I'm guessing from name). It's 1.3Ah batteries too.....

The Hitachi with 2 x 1.5 batts was available through trade point for £90 but I can't find it now.. :scratch: :scratch:

Bought one recently and its wicked.....55nm torque, inbuilt work light, decent carry case. Even seems to gain a bit of extra oomph when I use the 3Ah battery from my cordless SDS with it...
Screwfix had the same kit for £99.99

Didn't someone say Tradepoint was dodgy for tools? Something to do with them being funny with waranty - it's not as good as the retail arm for returns/replacements?

I know that SFix have it at £99.99, TP had it at £89.99 a couple of days ago... and let's face it £10 is.......£10..

@BG, yes because its a trade sale the normal sale of goods act don't apply...BUT this one comes with a 3 year Hitachi warranty if you register on-line within 28 days of purchase..

Basically they state that certain power tool brands aren't for trade use and the guarantee does not cover trade use. Such as Black & Decker, Green Bosch, JCB, MacAllister, Performance Power & Ryobi

BG: Depends on the tool, trade grade stuff (Dewalt, Makita, Hitachi) is covered, but the DIY grade stuff (McAllister, Ryobi, Performance power etc) isn't
