Too late, it's out of date. You must have gone and made a drink......

If you want an 'out of date' laugh.......
Graphics card is currently GEForce NVIDIA 8400 (don't all laugh at once).

The latest gen haswell i5 chips are good value for money most to clock well if your in to that sort of thing

Re: Buildng your own PC
My Quadro has 4 monitor outputs, which is why I'm using it.
8.1 isn't too bad at all, it's got a lot of stick.

Re: Buildng your own PC
I do like being in the right place at the right time.
Pop to see a mate who's just about to chuck a load of stuff away. Mind if I look? Help yourself, he says.
Ka-Ching! Intel 510 series 250GB SSD sat there amidst the rubbish. Want it? Nope - mine!
Now where can it go......

"Jammy git" is the only thing I can say. Being in the sticks is, perhaps, the one failing of living remotely - I miss out on loads of 'townie' deals (boot sales, auctions etc) .
Great find there BG

Naah, it's all about Windows 7. Win 8 = Microsoft trying to merge computers with Windows Mobile style touch screen apps interface = pretty much useless for PC enthusiasts who build their own and will give you a massive headache.joinerjohn wrote:Don't forget to factor in the cost of the OS... Win 8.1 (depending on the edition) can cost anything from about £50 upwards (for legit versions) Or can cost you absolutely sweet FA, but with loads of hassle trying to find a product key that will work (with no guarantees of ever finding one)
