Hopefully this might be an easy problem to sort out. The network connection on my iPad2 has failed today, showing a message that it couldn't connect to the server (ntlworld) either for emails or web connection (safari). I thought at first it was to do with Black Friday traffic crashing the system but my desktop PC is connecting with no problem. I've never had this problem before and, looking at the pop account details on the iPad everything looks as it should be. It was working fine this morning and I have done nothing to it meantime but this afternoon - no connection. The iPad is showing a good wifi signal from my router.
I'm not a computer geek so any help to correct the problem, in layman's terms please, would be very helpful. Thanks in advance.

Re: iPad Network Connection Proble.
My iPad does this from time to time. I've always switched my wireless router off then back on and switched the iPad off, then on and it resolves this issue. The latest iOS update may cause problems as well,my phone was a nightmare on the first ios 8 update.

Re: iPad Network Connection Proble.
I find I have to switch off my iPad at least once every 2 days and restart it because of problems similar to this.
I always find that if it takes a while to shut down then that is a sign of something gone corrupt.
Apple isn't as good as it is made out to be.

The way Virgin Media fix these problems is as advised by others...... Turn it off, wait 30 seconds then turn it back on again.. (reckon I could become VM's IT expert)

I think the issue in my gaff is caused by multiple devices all connected to an ancient home hub2!
