Old P.C. what to do.

Post by Someone-Else »

I found out that I have about 4 Old PC's just the towers, but each tower only needs screen, keyboard and mouse.

Since I no longer use them, I would like to get rid of them.

Years ago, I took an old PC (I took the HD out) to an education centre, where they also teach people how to build a PC, so mine was of great use. The place has since gone, so I cant go there. I tried a PC repair shop and they only took one because they felt sorry for me (and the skip was empty)

My question is: if you were me, what would you do? oh and one tower has win 8.1 on it. I formatted the HD but I am wondering what if it missed a bit, and some of my info is still on it.
Above are my opinions Below is my signature.

Would you hit a nail with a shoe because you don't have a hammer? of course not, then why work on anything electrical without a means of testing Click Here to buy a "tester" just because it works, does NOT mean it is safe.

 If gloom had a voice, it would be me.

:idea1: Click Here for a video how to add/change pictures

Freecycle? There may be someone in genuine need for a gift for a kid this Christmas. Do the right thing though and make sure they boot up (into whatever version of Windows there is on the HDD) and that basic internet facilities re also available.
Don't take it personally......
