Hi,
Need to do some floor tiling in bathroom and after pulling up old floor and underlay I have discovered a steel checkered plate floor underneath, this kind of thing:
https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=steel ... d=0CDkQsAQ
I've had a look under and the sub floor seems to be fine so my instinct would be to remove this and tile on top, just wondering if that's the best thing to do or would it benefit me to tile over the steel plate? I'm not even sure if the tile adhesive would adhere to steel plate?
Thanks.
Can/should I tile over steel checkered floor plates?

I can't think of a single tile addy that would stick to steel..Possible but not one I know of.

Remove the checkerplate, what is the sub floor beneath?
